Bachata is a latin dance that originated in the Dominican Republic. Later it became more and more popular and now people dance bachata all over the world. Usually it is performed by couples in a romantic and sensual way. The traditional Bachata dance is performed with close body contact of the partners while contemporary Bachata dance routines feature less body contact.
It is not only fun to learn, it also has its own share of physical, emotional, and psychological aspects. When dancing Bachata, every muscle of the body is used, from the head, arms, chests, hips, legs, and the feet = Great workout. Also Bachata steps stimulate one’s mind and we learn to harmoniously coordinate with our body. Socially, people who want to learn the Bachata dance need to be open with their emotions to be connected not only with their partner but also with the choreographer. One of the best things that dancers get from dance routines is confidence. (boosting our confidence on the dance floor does not only end there but stays within our personality!)
Ballroom dancing is fun and has something for everyone. It involves the sexy Latin American dances like Cha Cha Cha, Rumba, Jive, Discofox and Samba but also the gracefully and traditional dances like Slow Waltz, Vienna Waltz, Quickstep and Slowfox. In my course you will learn the basic steps of all these dances and also nice combination of steps and routines.
Later on we will focus more on the harder stuff like technique and expression.
We will focus on two dances every class, which gives us enough time to learn them properly and to repeat the previous ones. In the last 30 min. there will be music playing so that you guys can practice all the dance steps and routines so far.
About the Clothing: Just come in whatever you feel comfortable with but bring comfortable shoes with you in whom you can do turns and who don’t get stuck on the floor.
Bringing a partner is not necessary. So why are you still waiting, just strictly come dancing and let’s have fun!

Through the use of drills, floorwork and routines to traditional and modern eastern music, you will tone up without even noticing and probably acquire a whole load of of sparkly costumes!Unlike many dance forms, there is no correct style of bellydance, so dancers will be encouraged to make their own mark on their moves. So come along with a friend or two, have a laugh and shimmy the troubles away!
Wear loose comfortable clothing/crop tops/dance bras/long skirts/training bottoms. Bare feet is best, but if you're not comfortable with this wear socks you won't slip in!

Bharatanatyam is a South Indian classical dance form originating from Tamil Nadu. It is formed up of intricate hand and feet movements to distinctive musical pieces. With a mixture of hand gestures, footwork and expressions it is known to be one of the most complex dance forms of India and is well known for its heart-rending beauty. Having originated from what is known as the “Tandav” performed by a Hindu God named “Lord Shiva” it belongs to one of the seven classical dances of India and is by far the most famous. Although it takes many years to actually master this dance form the step by step basis in which it is taught will surely make it an easy journey. This class will explore every element of Bharatanatyam from a beginner’s perspective; so don’t worry if you’ve never moved to a beat in your life. The main steps combined with tiny snippets of simple dances based on the style, will surely keep you absorbed in no time.
